The priest says the following prayer in a low voice:
After completing this prayer, the priest stands in front of the holy table and recite the Cherubicon three times together with the deacon, bowing once at each conclusion. Let us who mystically represent the cherubim and sing the Thrice-holy Hymn to the life-giving Trinity, now lay aside all cares of life. That we may receive the King of all, escorted invisibly by ranks of angels. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia. Then the priest goes to the prothesis.: God, be merciful to me,
a sinner.

Entering through the holy doors, the priest sets the holy chalice on the holy table. From the forehead of the deacon he takes the holy diskos and also sets it upon the holy table. Then he takes the veils from the holy diskos and the holy chalice and lays them on one side of the holy table. Taking the aer from the deacon's shoulder, he incenses it, cover the holy gifts with it, saying silently: Noble Joseph took down Your immaculate body from the tree. He wrapped it with clean linen and, with aromatic spices buried, it in a new tomb. Bless, O Lord, Sion in Your good pleasure, and may the walls of Jerusalem be built up. Then shall You be pleased with sacrifices of justice, offerings and holocausts; then shall they offer up bullocks on Your altar. Priest: Let us complete our petition to the Lord. Priest: Peace be with all. People: And with your spirit. Priest: Let us love one another so that we may be of one mind in confessing: People: The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the Trinity, one in Being and undivided. The priest bows three times, saying in a low voice:
Priest: The doors, the doors! In wisdom let us be attentive. The priest raises the aer and holds it over the holy gifts. If there are other concelebrating priests, they likewise raise the holy aer aloft and hold it over the holy gifts, moving it gently as, together with the people, they recite to themselves the Symbol of Faith. People: I believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen. I believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation He came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered, died, and was buried. On the third day, he rose again in fulfillment of the Scriptures: he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son He is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. I believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. I acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen. Priest: Let us stand well, let us stand with fear; let us be attentive to offer the holy oblation in peace. People: The mercy of peace, the sacrifice of praise. People: Holy, holy, holy, Lord of Sabaoth! Heaven and earth are full of Your glory! Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest! The Priest prays: With these blessed powers, O Master, Who love mankind, we too cry out and say: Holy are You, truly all holy, You and Your only-begotten Son and Your Holy Spirit. Holy are You, truly all holy, and magnificent is Your glory. You so loved Your world that You gave Your only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him might not perish but might have eternal life. After He had come and fulfilled the whole divine plan for our sake, on the night He was given over, or rather, gave Himself over for the life of the world He took bread into His holy, most pure and immaculate hands, gave thanks, blessed, sanctified and broke it. He gave it to His holy disciples and apostles, saying: Aloud:
The priest makes a deep bow. People: Amen. The priest in a low voice:

The priest, blessing the Holy Chalice, says:
The priest, blessing both holy Gifts, says:
The priest takes the censer and exclaims:
(Congregation rises)
The priest silently prays:
After the singing of the hymn, the priest exclaims:

Priest: For the precious Gifts which have been presented and consecrated, let us pray to the Lord. People: Lord, have mercy. Priest: For a Christian end to our lives, that is painless, unashamed, and peaceful; and for a good defense at the awesome tribunal of Christ, let us ask the Lord. People: Grant this, O Lord. Priest: We have asked for unity of the faith and for the fellowship of the Holy Spirit; let us now commend ourselves and one another and our whole life to Christ our God. People: To You, O Lord. Priest: Make us worthy, O Master, with confidence and without condemnation, to dare call You, the heavenly God, Father, and say: (Congregation rises) People: Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Priest: For the kingdom, the power and the glory are Yours, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, now and for ever and ever. People: Amen. Priest: Peace be with all. People: And with Your spirit. Priest: Bow your heads to the Lord. People: To You, O Lord. The priest silently prays:
Priest: Through the grace, mercies and the loving-kindness of Your only-begotten Son with Whom You are blessed together with Your most holy, and good and life-giving Spirit, now and for ever and ever. People: Amen. The priest silently prays:

to save sinners, of whom I am first. Accept me this day, O Son of God,
as a partaker of Your Mystical Supper. I will not tell the Mystery to Your
enemies, nor shall I give You a kiss as did Judas, but like the thief,
I confess to You:
The priest, taking one particle of the holy Bread, says:
He then bows his head and prays, saying:
And then he partakes with reverence and every care of That which they hold in their hands. Then the priest bows, takes the holy Chalice together with a purificator in both hands and partakes of It, saying: I, the servant of God, n., a priest, partake of the precious and holy Blood of our Lord and God and Saviour Jesus Christ; for the forgiveness of my sins and for life everlasting. Amen. He wipes his lips and the rim of the holy Chalice with the purificator he is holding in his hand and says: This has touched my lips and shall take away my iniquities and shall cleanse my sins. He covers the holy Chalice with a small veil and places the asterisk and veils on the holy diskos, turns to the congregation, saying: Priest: Approach with the fear of God and with faith. People: Blessed is He Who comes in the name of the
Lord. God is Lord and has appeared to us.
In distributing Communion, the priest says:
